Fuzzy MCDM release notes
Version 1.0.0, the first public release. Archived on Zenodo: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23380643.
Fuzzy MCDM is an offline Windows desktop application for criteria weighting in multi-criteria decision making. It computes criteria weights from one shared set of pairwise expert judgments with crisp AHP, two triangular fuzzy AHP methods and two interval type-2 fuzzy AHP methods, compares the methods, and traces every result back to the publication that defines each step.
Highlights
- Five weighting methods, each fixed by a versioned profile and checked against published worked examples: AHP (Saaty 1980, eigenvector); fuzzy AHP after Buckley (1985); fuzzy AHP, FICSM (Ahmed & Kilic 2019); interval type-2 fuzzy AHP after Kahraman et al. (2014) with the full 1 to 9 scale of Beresneva & Gordenko (2018); and interval type-2 fuzzy AHP with the Milošević et al. (2019) scale, kept frozen as a historical reference.
- One consistency gate for all methods: an expert matrix with a consistency ratio above 0.10 is excluded from that comparison set, and the report says so.
- Method comparison, expert disagreement, leave-one-expert-out and seeded resampling stability.
- A calculation trace with the source page, table or equation of every step.
- Exports: Excel calculation book, publication figures (SVG, PNG), a PDF calculation report and a run bundle.
- Works fully offline: no network code, no telemetry, no automatic updates.
System requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (x64).
- No administrator rights are needed for a per-user installation.
Installation
- Download the installer from the project website and compare its SHA-256 checksum with the one published there (
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 <file>in PowerShell). - Run the installer. It is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn; choose More info, check the file name, then Run anyway.
- Start Fuzzy MCDM from the Start menu.
Known limitations
- Each comparison set (the criteria compared with each other) can hold up to ten criteria, the size covered by Saaty's random index table.
- Hierarchies have at most two levels: main criteria and their subcriteria.
- The installer is not code-signed.
- Links to publications open in the default web browser, and only when the user clicks them.
